How 5g Would Change the World
What
is 5G technology?
5G is the fifth generation
of cellular technology. It is designed to increase speed, reduce latency, and
improve flexibility of wireless services. 5G technology has a theoretical peak
speed of 20 Gbps, while the peak speed of 4G is only 1 Gbps.
While 4G LTE focused on
ensuring connectivity, 5G takes connectivity to the next level by delivering
connected experiences from the cloud to clients. 5G networks are virtualized
and software-driven, and they exploit cloud technologies.
5G technology should
improve connectivity in underserved rural areas and in cities where demand can
outstrip today's capacity with 4G technology. New 5G networks will also have a
dense, distributed-access architecture and move data processing closer to the
edge and the users to enable faster data processing.
What
benefits 5G bring us?
Expanding network
capabilities
One of the key benefits of
5G is “network slicing,” which will allow businesses to get different levels of
connectivity (from ISP) to accommodate multiple use cases. 5G slices will be
based on the three primary use case categories:
Enhanced Mobile Broadband
(eMBB): eMBB provides higher bandwidth and higher speeds for everything from
smart city applications and stadiums, to streaming infotainment in cars and
planes, to seamless cloud services and fleet management telematics for safety
and diagnostics.
Ultra-Reliable Low-Latency
Communication (uRLLC): uRLLC supports real-time, mission-critical
communications such as autonomous driving, industrial robotics automation, and
emergency disaster response and location services. The tactile response time is
expected to be less than 1 millisecond.
Accompanied by 5G’s arrival
and development, there would be many typical devices coming out and 5G router
will be one of them. Based on 5G Radio module, 5G router will be a key
component of IoT. But there would be many versions of 5G router, just because
5G Bands is too many worldwide. Meanwhile 5G Router comes to be widely used,
requiring a long time, 5G Technology still has so long road to go and there
still are many technology issues need to be solved.
No matter how many
difficulties appearance, 5G’s future is very bright. 5G router will surely keep
on playing a key role in IoT and M2M. 5G will greatly affect business
worldwide.
